I think I screwed up trying to buy a jet kit on the cheap. I have a 1990 CBR100F and I bought a K&N jet kit #81-9223 that is actually specified for the 1993-1995 model. I did research before I bought it and found that the carbs are the same for the 1990-1996 models, but I''m not so sure now. To make things worse, I found a listing online saying that the carbs on the 1987-92 are VG80/82 and the 1993-99 are VP45 types.
The Dyno Jet kit apparently is the same for the entire model run of these bikes, according to some websites, and now I''m thinking the K&N kit will be the same. Unfortunately I can''t get any numbers for the 1990 jet kit sizes to confirm.
Am I okay with the kit I have? Why do the parts have ''DJ'' on them (are they Dyno Jet???)

The jet sizes on my K&N kit are as follows:

Main       DJ120 or DJ124
Needle    DNO110
Springs   DSP007

The proper kit by Dyno Jet is as follows:

Main       DJ114 or DJ118 or DJ122
Needle    DNO127
Springs   DSP003

Can anyone help me sort out this mess?!

The mains in your K&N kit are the same as the ones in my Dyno Jet kit for my ''''93.  I''''ll check the spring and needles when I get home tonight.  My stock main is 122.  I''''m running the 124''''s with a K&N filter in the box and an SS2R full system exhaust.
What size are your stock main jets?
