For just a minute, put aside the fact that this person paid for a custom map.  Also put aside the fact that this is a forum by which people utilize what it offers.

Now, lets get to what each of us should be offering our bikes.  A custom map for an individual bike provides almost no additional benefit to another bike even if it has relatively similar mods.  You may have this or that and maybe even the identical mods.  But the one thing you don''t have is the a/f ratio''s, the same dyno machine, the same barometric pressures, humidity levels, ambient temparature, etc...

Now here''s where it might get complicated...  if each of our intentions are to "optimize" our own bikes peformance levels, someone else''s map can go both ways for each of our bikes.  It could be a +/- 4-7hp difference in either direction.  By doing minimal engine mods, engine ice (or other brand) and doing simple chain conversion to 520, you can gain that by running a base map and having the additional weight reduction (through rotational mass reducing loss from bhp to rwhp) compliment the mods done.

This does not suggest I am a leading expert in the field.  I read this on the bathroom wall while takin a squirt.  lol.  It was bike dealership bathroom.  isn''t this the stuff they write on them types of walls?  lol.

Wow, it''s fantastic to see how the members of this forum act toward each other.

My aim with this thread was toward the noobs who constantly ask if they need a PCIII, among other mods, and if it should be downloaded or tuned while at the same time whine about spending the money for the DYNO. Hmm... and here we are with people looking for handouts.

As previously stated, a bike specific map will not necessarily help another similar bike. This being the case, why is there so much controversy about me not sharing my map with this community? Those who bash me are most likely the same people who pirate software and burn copies of their friend''s CD''s/DVD''s. It''s convenient for you and you don''t mind stealing from the authors..

Those who have supported my stand on not sharing my map have my thanks, sincerely. Those who would like to continue to bash me for making a point are encouraged to continue. Really, I don''t care, I find it rather humorous!

Have fun out there everyone and enjoy the rest of the season!
