My 954 has 19,xxx miles. I recently removed the flapper system and the snorkels, installed a BMC race filter, PCIII w/ downloaded map and Erion slip-on (HTEV still on bike). This put me at 133.23 HP and 66.83 ft/lb Torque at the wheel. Then, after DYNO tuning I ended up at 137.19 HP and 70.09 ft/lb Torque at the wheel. IMO that is a pretty good amount of pick-up, so for those of you who don''t think they need a DYNO tune,

I was running 35-40 mpg before the tune and that was with the bike running rich from 6 to 12k.

On a side note, I repacked my pipe after the tune (I totally forgot to do so before hand..) and I''ll be swapping the front sprocket out for a 15T.

Have fun out there kiddos!

Sorry, I don''t have a scanner... so a picture will have to suffice.
I must say the bike runs TONS better, although I''m running atleast 10 deg warmer.

Nice upgrades, I have the same setup on my 954, is there any way I can get that map from you onto my bike or do I have to take it to a dyno-shop and have them map my bike?

(Sorry Mowdiddy/modmotoman, I didn''''''''t pay $300 to just "give" you a copy of my map. ???) Isnt the purpose of this forum to help out fellow 954''ers? You already spent the $$$ so whats your issue with helping someone else save a couple of dollars?  Way to be a team player, thanks for nothing.... Guys I will start a post when I get my bike dynoed and help with any maps or info anyone might need.

Wow no joke....What are you CBRinPDX a tight wade?
It’s harder to spend 20 minutes answering someone’s tech question then it is to upload a 2.22kb map that is at no more of an extra cost to you.
There for I say avoid answering and responding to CBRinPDX because he don’t know the purpose of this forum.

(childish acts remind me of grade school)

Hey Shin if you’re interested in buying copy maps to someone else’s bike ill sell you a few? But really i dont need your money so ill just give them away at no cost to me.

Seriously though
We are only bashing the fact that he will come in here with a pie showing it off saying (NaNany booboo) but he won’t cut anyone a slice. And that’s fine.
Ill post my custom map because I am willing to help someone save 300 bucks at no cost to me if this map works for them...

Feel free to download it and tell me what you think.
My 954 has the stock replacement air filter with a modified stock silencer. 9,000 miles on the bike at the time. And here in Florida it was dynoed at 141hp on a hot day.

Ohh dam this site wont let me upload that file even after zipping, tell you what just email me at ModifiedMotoMan@MSN.COM and ask for a copy and ill send a attached email with the map in a zipped file.
And guess what it’s at no cost to me...

Now this is what Forums are for

Well it is what it is, Im just saying if it was me I would help with whatever I could. If I already spent the money why not? We all pay for our knowledge one way or another, bikes down, precious time, parts, etc. But we all still share our knowledge and experiences dont we?

I feel the same why.
They make a killing off of dyno tunes... but we should all bring something to the table, if passing a free map that might be better then someone stocks PCIII map helps someone put 300 bucks into something else then im happy.

From what I noticed from looking at the charts from other peoples custom maps is that most custom maps are not that far apart unless you have internal motor mods.
Also noticed and this makes sense that if you have your bike dyno tuned in the winter you will end up with richer settings and summer will get you leaner settings then the winter tune.
So maybe waiting till spring or fall to have your bike tuned will give you the best all around.

I agree with CBRinPDX. He spent 300 dollars on a custom tune for his bike. Why should he have to give it away for free? You guys are basically saying if I buy a new exhaust system I should just give my old one away for free, so someone doesn''t have to go out and buy their own? I think not.
