Has anyone traded in their 06 1000RR for a 08 1000RR and was it worth it? Power, weight, brakes, rideability all that stuff? I''ve been to the dealer and looked at them but without a test ride it doesn''t seem worth it.

my friend, i own a 2006 cbr1000rr and a 2008 1000rr... and let me tell you, WOW! It is not even comparable. the 2008 is simply better in every possible way.. as a matter of fact i will easily argue that this is the best mass production motorcycle EVER produced. so, if you have the chance to trade or just buy the 08 DO IT! you''ll love it I promise you!

ok. i had an 061000rr and traded it for an 081000rr. UNBELIEVABLE. best move i ever made. the 06 is fantastic but the 08 is amazing. the weight is the first thing you notice. the 08 feels like a feather when you sit on it. EVERYTHING on the bike works better. look in the 1000 modification threads for pics of my 08 modded up and you will see what i have done to it and what is available for the bike. dont get the 06. compared to the 08 it is a dog.

I must say the CBR 1000 2006 is faster than the 2008, has more power even do 2008 has a better engine, is amazing but is so true! 2008 is more luxury than 2006. The CBR 1000 2006, has more power in the run, you feel safe while you driving it, it offers you stability in the highway, with an engine tipe of 599CC and four cylinder and a fantastic transmition of six speeds, amazing right? While the 2008 brings an engine of 990 CC and a gain transmition sounds more powerful but is not! Yendis Online Marketing

Well I have an 06 it''s paid off-has a slip-on, power commander, went two teeth in the back, speedo healer, flush mounts, undertail, double bubble, and a crash cage. Was just pondering if the 08 was that great- my bike dynoed 153hp and I''ve seen dyno sheets of 08''s with slip-ons doing the same so besides weight (or feeling) I cant see the trade being worth it. I doubt I would get a good trade in price-or deal on a new one but thanks for the input.

Your bike is bad- and I want your rims. How much did you already spend in mods?
