I was wondering if any body in here has had track time with both a 600f3 and a 954rr and what the flickability difference is. I know there is a obvious difference in power and will take some getting used to but I loved the way I could throw around my f3 the weight is pretty close (had a bunch of mods on my older f3, custom race spec-street legal) I just hope the 954 is close or better being 7 years newer. Responses appreciated.

I am sure someone will correct me, but the 954 was the lightest CBR made, coming in at 370 dry, and I believe it weighs less than the F3.

I know its lighter but it carries it's weight differently, I was just wondering how much so. I think you are correct on the weight. My f3 was substantialy lighter than stock more like a full on track race bike. So I guess I will just have to wait and see.
Thanks for the reply!

If you weigh over 180 your going to be disappointed when you get on the track with the stock suspension on the 954. It sucks big balls!!
Preload can be tightened up all the way on the forks and the springs are still not stiff enough. Also, buy a steering damper; some bad headshake can happen under hard acceleration out of a corner. The 954 is a more powerful engine stuck on the 929 frame with a few modifications to the swingarm. It will make worlds of difference if you make the modifications.

Im running Racetech. Good stuff and alot cheaper than Ohlins which in my opinion is the best money can buy.

Both are awesome tracks but a little far for you to travel.
I need to take some updated pics. I removed the graphics except for HONDA on the bottom of the fairing.
I hated the white sticker on the tail and the zig zag graphic across the fairing.

i had an f2 basically the same as an f3 the weight seemed to be too far forward and no where near enough power the 954 seems very wells centraly located very good feel to it and plenty of power my thoughts are the 954 is a far better motorcycle in every aspect except for the price f2/f3 all day less than $2000.00 954 all day 6000. plus that and the 954 looks better too !

03954guy Just got it home and I couldn't agree with you more, this bikes looks could kill, haven't had a chance to ride it yet but just sitting on it I can tell it's balanced way better and far more technologically superior.

Pizzle to bad it was raining and freezing this past weekend I drove right past that park exit in Alabama picking up my 954. I'll have to come down in the summer and check'm out. I'm a road warrior so driving/riding somewhere to ride is OK by me.
