Alright...so I just replaced my subframe and thought that things would be great and all that good stuff but it just seems like I''m not going to have rest yet....I''ve got a few problems that  you guys might be able to help me out with or give me advice on how to go about fixing them....

First off, just recently (like last night on a late night ride home) I noticed that my back brake lever kept ''bumping'' up and down at low speeds if i put some light pressure on the lever, and when i was slowing down I could have sworn that there was a grinding sound. So when I stopped off at my girlfriend''s workplace I examined my back brake and there''s a portion of the disk that looks like it had been ground down with like a sand grinder or something. I took a few pics that really sucked but i have a couple that show what went wrong, i''ll post them after this post.

Next problem, as of last night there''s an odd symbol that popped up on my dash...it''s an ''A'' that''s enclosed around a little black box. I''ve never seen it before and have no idea what it means, anybody have any ideas?

Also (sorry for so many questions but I trust you guys more than I trust many people over here about bikes) what are some symptoms of a strator cover leak? because I''m leaking oil in the general area of where the strator cover is and i''ve read a thread somewhere on here where someone had the same kind of leak by the looks of it but i want to be totally sure before i start messing around with things.

And as of today when i was at a few stoplights I thought I smelled something like propane coming from my bike...not from the exhaust but from somewhere else. I don''t know if that makes sense maybe I was just sitting where something had spilled on the road or something but has anybody heard of something causing that kind of smell on a bike?

Thanks in advance for any kind of info you guys give me, I don''t expect everything to be answered but every little bit will help. I''ll post picures of the brake disk and the little error thing on my dash, and after that i''m going to research everything and maybe thin these questions out a bit.

As for the brakes it looks like you just ran out of pad, and were dragging the metal shoe on the rotor. Solution: get new pads and a new rear rotor, bout $100.

I just read every page of the manual and dont see the answer for A. It shows it all over the place but not what it means. Now im gonna lose my f***** mind till i find it.

Isn''t that A just the tripometer A? There is an A and a B that you can toggle back and forth with using the right button, and when you hold it it clears the miles.

I guess i just never noticed that light before till last night...oh well. sorry for asking such a no brainer question....anyways thanks again TK and GeMs for the info. I also have one more question but before i ask it i''ll try to fix it on my own and see how things work out...because it''s a simple thing but i''ve never done it before.
