haha.. nice, online with a psp...

An f4i? yeah, i think 7200 is too much. Good bike, but I think 7200 is just too much. You can get a better deal. Personaly i think the 2001-2003 f4i''s are the best. Two seats.

you can find (depending on region) an 01-03 f4i (01 being the best in my opinion) with <10000 miles for around 4-5K. 4-5K is the MOST i would pay. and thats an immaculate machine.

an 06 with 1000 miles.... 7.2K is pretty lofty. get you an RR for that

KBB is pretty accurate for these bikes.  I would honestly go with an 01 or 02 for cheap and you get a split seat!

I wouldnt buy it for $7200 but you might be able to talk him down.  I would rather buy an 04-06 f4i and convert the subframe just because the bike is newer so you wouldnt have to do as much maintenance and/or repairs when you buy the bike.  I would definitely buy the bike used especially if this is your first bike.  Just shop around and be patient and something will definitely come your way.

Last year I bought an 05 (same as an 06 this year) with 2100 miles for $5800 + tax with a new helmet and jacket..Basically $5200 for the bike....I found it on craigslist 1 1/2 hours away in Chicago..
The local dealer wanted $7100-$7200 plus TTL and a fee of around $400.....Bike had about 2200 miles on it..I liked the color scheme better and offered the dealer $6000 Plus TTL no $400 to boot..Only reason I offered them that much is because they are obviously a dealer and have a pretty good mark-up..After all their in business to make a profit....I thought I''d pay a little extra and support a local dealer...Dealer said no...Obvious choice was to get one from a private party.

Got my 06 used with under 3k for 6200 OTD w/ battery tender, disc lock, and tank pad. Not a bad price for the Seattle area, bikes here are roughly 10-12 percent higher in price, its ridiculous.

I may have overpaid slightly but I am happy with what I got in return, my F4i is my baby.

Oh and by the way NADA, Blue book for the 06 was 6300 with 6000 suggested miles. So I got what I paid for and nothing more.

Too high. I bought my 06 with 940 miles on it for $5,600. Which was an awesome deal, but still, 7,200 is way off.

Just bought an ''06 w/ 2,900 miles that also had the Honda extended warranty til 2010, and an Alpinestars leather jacket for $4,900 off an individual. KBB and NADA value at $6K+.

Compare that to the ''01 w/ 1,100 miles at the dealer that I looked at around the same time (with a dented tank and some rash) for $5,200. Forget dealers.

There are always deals out there if you look. Had to drive 14 hours round trip to get my F4i but it was worth it.

Just bought an ''01 a few weeks ago with 8900 miles.  The guy left it sit for about a year and a half so it needs a little attention, but for $3200 it was worth it.  I figure I can ride it for a few years and then upgrade and get almost that much when I sell it.  Everyone is right.  There are def good deals out there, just gotta look a bit.  Let people know that you''re looking too. Lots of times word of mouth works.  So-and-so might know so-and-so that wants to get rid of a bike and will do it cheaper for a friend of a friend.  if you followed that at all.   That''s my .02
