    hi all,

maybe a stupid question but here it is, I have a two brothers exhaust from a 600rr 2005, but now I owe a 1000rr 2006, is it possible to install/adapt the exhaust on my 1000rr without risking the performance or messing up the engine??

thanks in advance..

Yeah, I''d call them. My "GUESS" would be yeah, you could use it, and by calling them they can possibly get/sell you just the parts you need to make it fit. Guessing again, but think canister would be ok, but mid pipe would be different

I did put it on, I had to adapt the stock middle pipe by making as "S" weld and by making a plate at the end of the pipe with 4 holes for the screws but it looks good my only concern now is that it smokes like burning oil, I can actually see the end of the canister like oil wet..
Is that supposed to be like that or something is wrong, it wasn"t smoking before the pipe was installed

Na, not supposed to be like that. I cant imagine how changing pipe would make it burn oil. Perhaps it''s just really rich? That''ll make it smoke and the end of exhaust black... dunno about wet tho. My F4i runs really rich, smokes when getting on gas hard, and tip gets black fast. I just clean tip a lot. lol. I could probably get a power commander and fix it, and probably would if it was my 1000, but I wont for that bike. lol. Plus it just sounds sic that rich

it''s kind of stopping now, still some smoke but less, my friend the one that weld it told me that because is fiber glass it might do that for a few days, also I  got the pipe from a wrecked bike and he said that if the bike rolled over it might have some in it....

any idea???

Yup, that could be it. Also two bros uses that padding stuff inside. No clue what it is called. but if you ordered a repack kit for you pipe, that padding is what you get. Anyways, maybe just a lot of soot in padding. But sounds like it''s getting better, so probably ok then. If time goes on, and it still smokes some getting on gas hard, etc, then that pipe just made your bike run richer.
