Ok, so many of you may have seen my recent post of getting this bike, let me just tell you that I love it! Well I am thinking I need my carb cleaned. If I am riding for a peiord of a time, about 5 min on a high way or even something that is 55mph my idle adjustment vibrates loose and turns the idle down so I stall out. At least that is the only thing I can think of, I can drive around town all day with no problems but when I get on the highway or anything 45 and faster it has a mind of its own.

Its getting kinda annoying stopping every time I want to go somewhere.

Thanks!

btw....the bike just had new batt, plugs and wires.

do you have to keep giving it gas at high speed and then it eventually stalls? that happened to me and i ended up having to clean the carbs.

Sort of, its like im in too high of a gear, so I downshift then give it gas, then it will stall.

hmmm...something to check: There are tubes coming out of the front of the airbox that control the air going in. Make sure they are present. Someone else had this problem a few weeks ago and that was  all it was.

as soon as you pull the clutch does it stall? If so, the carbs need to be cleaned. Thats exactly what mine did. Felt like I was in to high of a gear so i would downshift but as soon as i pulled the clutch it would stall. i cleaned the carbs (not hard at all) installed new plugs and mines fine now.

I will check that out when I get home.

Next time it happens I will pay a little more attention to it, to see if it happens when I pull the clutch in, it sucks constantly having to adjust my idle at every stop sign, the thing screems when its idleing at 4k

Ugh! It stalled 10 times today, it took me 45 min to get home from a near by town that is only a 10 min drive. So to answer your question, YES it stalls when I pull the clutch in, I had plenty of experience today...lol...but yes...So it seems like I need to clean the carb. Anyone got a write up?

Thanks!....
