Since I''ve had my bike the throttle sticks, it will not return on its own like other bikes i''ve ridden. The springs that keep butterflies closed on the carbs work great, nice and tight but the throttle has to be rolled back actively which makes for really shitty throttle control at low speed such as slow corners and stop-go traffic because you can''t really ease into it lightly, it takes some considerable force to overcome it and once you do it''s jerks the bike forward. Anyone else ever have a problem like this? I took the throttle handle off, cleaned it and put a light film of oil between the grip and the clipon bar but it didn''t really help. Also cleaned up the inside of the kill switch box where th cables attach to the grip. I''m thinking the cables are gunked up inside.

I wouldnt ride it any more until you get that problem fixed. could turn out very bad. the next thing I would do is go get some cable lube in the aerosol can and clean those cables. Its most likely just like you said, full of gunk.

I am not familiar with the set up of the cables on that year bike, but I assume it has push/pull cables. make sure they are both connected

check and see if your bike have been dropped on the right side. The handle bar could be damaged and that could affect the motion of the trottle.
another thing i can think of is if you turn the bars all the way left and see if the trottle is slow (do the same to right)
if it helps that means it is only the cable

I assure you the carbs are working properly it did this from day one and I actually freed up the carb springs even more when I cleaned them.

is your spring(s) where the throttle cables attach on the right side of your engine working well?
seems like somthing to check if you havent already

Ya.... I''ve faced the problem before. Its not all that fun. First is to check both cables going into the throttle body assembly, make sure they are tight and that the nut that is on the actual cable is tight. I''m guessing you checked that along with the nuts holding the cables into the throttle. For mine, I actually needed to take the throttle apart, and they are really touchy to put back together properly, you need to somewhat tighten the one screw a bit, and then the other to make sure that the throttle is held together properly and not offset. But as far as my guess is concerned, you might want to pull the whole assembly apart and clean it. Lets just say that you might throw out a few bad words when putting it back together, I know I did.
