I got a license plate bracket that goes on the axle. I am not sure how I am suppost to put this bracket on. Can it go on either side or does it have to go on one particular side? Any help would be appreciated.

Either side. On left side you remove axle bolt then chain adjuster thing with washer then put it on and put the other 3 pieces back togather. As far as the right side you have to pull your axle completely out to mount it. On the right side you have the exhaust so keep that in mind. Good luck its simple.

just did it today....

pop off the big nut, take off the washer, put on bracket, reinstall washer, and reinstall nut tiiiiight

my bike is lowered so i angled it down a little to keep the exhaust and plate from rubbing when the suspension travels.

my axle was inserted from left to right (nut on right), hence the reason the plate is on the right.... i was going to swap it around but i kinda like how it''''s protected under the exhaust...

sorry for crappy pictures....

It''s been a while since I have put a new rear tire on which would be the last time I pulled my rear axle out. If I do decide to put the bracket on the left side of the axle, how do i make sure that the tire is completely center when I tighten the axle bolt back on?

Mike it dont matter what you stick outside of the swing arm, the bearings and spacers on the wheel keep it centered.

Eric i dont know much about puters, but for photobucket just copy the "direct link" then here use the little postcard icon and paste into that for pics.

Looks good btw. I was gonna do that with mine, but the police have been cracking on that around here this year (cant be vertical) so left mine be.

thanks for the help posting!

i didn''t realize how big the pics were.... sorry about that guys.

as for the plate being vertical... i didn''t really have a choice (or at least an easy alternative).  the original owner of the bike installed the fender eliminator and had the tag bolted on via one of the original chain cover bolts so the plate was laying down on the top edge of the swingarm which wasn''t stable, wasn''t legible, and wasn''t lighted..... i figure at least this way a cop can read it and at night headlights will at least reflect off it since it isn''t laying down almost flat anymore.

i was pulled the day after i got the bike b/c of the way the plate was mounted and the cop said it was illegal to have it mounted anyway other than completely horizontal and perpendicular to the ground but i was told that around here they let brackets like my new one pictured above go without any problems.... time will tell since i don''t have any lights on it....

kinda hard when the blue lights go on while you''''re pulling into your parent''''s driveway as you''''re about to show them the bike that they didn''''t know you just bought :)

not to mention i had only been riding for 3 days at that point and running from the radio seemed like a bad idea, haha

ps- sorry to take the thread off topic but do you have any videos or pictures of your bike online?  i just bought the same bolt-on pipe and was wondering what to expect for sound and fitment...

Holy sh*t my axle is backwards! When I let the bike shop paint it and stretch it they must have put it in from right to left! Oh Well! Oh yeah looks good.

Lol, I was just gonna say that.  Just don''t run with a plate on it and you won''t have to worry about installing a bracket.  j/k.

I''ve been using this chain lubricant from switerzland called motorex. That white stuff on my chain is actually the lubricant bonding to the chain. So, I have not cleaned it off.
