ORIGINAL: f44life i understand people makes mistakes n this world of people that have vehicle only tunnel vision. I treat everyone as a moron and i always have an exscape route plan. I just try to be the leader not the follower. I just think some people should take there drivers liscense over again cause they are neglegent to other vehicles in general. Add to the list of stuff i have bin push in the middle of a 4lane bridge on the yellow line in between heavy traffic. After the guy notices um right next to his window he flinches. I give him the hand gun signal and shoot em. I have bin forced into the gravel on the expressway. The list never ends. Sometimes i guess its just the thrill of being invisible is one of the reasons riding is fun. I feel like um a terminator so to speak. Scanning the areas vehicles and speeds just to stay alive. Of course speed and all the other good stuff. Just seems like no matter were u go there will always people daydreaming and putting peoples lives in risk everyday. dude when will you realize that your one of those people. you think that a swerving car is the only thing that can get you killed? your a moron bud and a self absorbed one too. your one of those people so dont try to blend in just cause you ride a bike. it dont matter what your mode of transportation is, your an idiot driver that should have his shit revoked. the hand gun WTF?? your lame and i''''m out. why does this make me think of you

ORIGINAL: voodoochyl Whoa everbody!!! This is not a call eachother names thread. The OP originally did ask if anybody punches off mirrors. Actually, yes and no answers were all that were required. However, this is a highly debatable topic and has several pages of responses as we can all see. I don''''t want this to be a "so and so is a douche" or "this guy is an idiot" situation because I will lock this thread. Thanks... sorry voodoo i have been warned now. i wont hit the guy under his skirt anymore .....promise

ORIGINAL: f44life in the two years i have bin riding on the street i have had severel run ins with drivers face to face and stupid morons on the road. I have had cars pull in my lane then notice um there. People cut over n almost hit me. A guy pasted me on a two lane road on the right side of me cause he was pissed off cause i wouldnt let him pass. Ive got in peoples faces. But um to the point where um gunna start kicking peoples side mirrors off and denting doors or carrying something to get back at these narrow sighted dum drivers that are not observant at all that is gunna kill bikers. Thats cool if they pull that shit on me cause um ready for it. But if a newer rider gets caught up in that situation they may not be ready n die. So does n e one have a story of going vigalante on dum drivers or actually carry a weapon or ball bearings to teach dum drivers a lesson? I know this post is on a sensitive topic and some have been a bit brutal in responce to you f44life. quote:
But if a newer rider gets caught up in that situation they may not be ready n die Experience is a "catch 22 situation" mate. You have to take the risks and do the hard miles to get it and getting those miles up may kill you before you are able gain the experience... but thats real life mate .. I think if your biggest worry is for the newer riders on the road,?... well telling or suggesting to them that they might try punching out mirrors (and that means they would have to be very very close to these as you put it "dum drivers" ) or slinging various missiles while riding is putting these new people at more risk than the original issue ... The best weapon is your brain mate ... use it wisely and you can I think avoid the full violent confrontation all together.. I think imparting your skill at pre thinking potential trouble up the road as you ride would be a better approach if you really want to help new riders stay alive longer. I personally promote the be the hunter , not the hunted method of survival .. They might all want to kill me , but most of the time my head is ready for the buggers .. The worst I give is, I may give them the hand gun salute :-) or a firm head shake perhaps a flash of my high beam ... My favorite though is if a no brainer cage-ie pulls over on me...and does not seem me at all, then I try to pass them safely, yet on the quick side, giving a sharp short blast on the horn, ... bike horns are high pitch screamers that if timed right give''s these buggers a near heart attack as you cruise away from them smiling :-) yer I said smiling, not pulling yu hair out in a rage .. To end my rave mate , I would like to remind everyone that if you do pysically attack these crazzies (even if they near killed you) and you cause them to crash or if they get to report you , the fines and gail are guaranteed and I think are definately not good... Stay calm , ride defensivley give em a fright maybee ... but above all enjoy the ride :-)
