hey guys i was wondering if anyone has taken off there silencer or defuser what ever that thing is on the ram air ducts. im asking cause i want to install an HID for my highbeam and i can find a decent spot to place the ballast and ignitor that will keep it out of the way from burning stuff up or getting in the way of the steering. so if you know a good spot that it fits in that would be awesome but otherwise do you know anything about removing the silencer/defuser(that triangle thing on top of the duct)?

I put mine in the front fairing, directly above the front fender.

Those resonators are there to create a certain turbulence in the incoming air.  It actually aids the engine''s ability to take in the air.  Removing these actually does hurt your power, and may make the bikie run slightly rich.

oh crap. well i took them out because i figured, they were only resonators. and the F4 didn''t have them I haven''t felt any difference, oddly enough it feels like my bike runs Slightly LESS rich because it back fires less after removing them.
