I hate the black fender that holds my number plate. Can I cut it off like this guy has in picture #1?
OR should I buy the bracket in pic #2 and #3 for US$105?????

Modifiying your stock fender is easy. Take a dremel to it and let your imagination do the rest. The brackets are easy installs as well. Go with an undertail kit and just be done with it. You will mod the fender or get a bracket. Then you will want to remove your rear signal lights. Just do it all at once with an elim. kit. Just .02 cents......

I could go either way on this... if you''re confident enough to chop up the bike and try something out on your own then by all means, save your self the cash.  However, if you aren''t "the measure 3 times then measure again" kind of person you will probably end up with a shoddy job that will leave you without a brake light.

As VP stated, if you are comfortable chopping into your bike then by all mean, do so and have fun with it.
I cut mine out and welded a piece of similar plastic into the hole. Then I sanded it down and smoothed it out with body filler. Once painted you can hardly notice where the bracket once was. I know this is not the best picture, there are tons of misleading reflections, but you should get the idea.
