New owner of an 01 929 and i''m looking around for wheel bearing kits for front and rear... the problem is i can''t find a kit number for the rear wheel bearings in most catalogs. now, I may not be the smartest guy out there, but i''m pretty sure if it spins, it''s gonna need bushings or bearings. Am I missing something obvious here? are the rears re-packable (not sealed). I''ve found the kit for the ''01 900RR, would that be the same? P.S. this forum is absolutly fantastic, i''ve learned a ton in the few months i''ve owned this bike because of you guys, so for that, thank you all!

I just put new bearings in mine not too long ago when I powdercoated the wheels. I went to the dealership and got Honda parts. I don''t think I could find the rear either, and to be honest the front aftermarket wasn''t saving much money. So, I would suggest just getting that part from a Honda place (OEM). Just my $.02

so what did you do about the rear wheel? did you not replace the bearings at all? this post http://www.cbrforum.com/m_3851/tm.htm makes it sound like the rears could be re-packable, but no mention of which bike/yr he''s talking about.

I''m sorry, it wasn''t a very clear answer. You can get BOTH front and rear bearings from Honda. If you try to go aftermarket, then you''ll probably only find the fronts. Sorry for the confusion
