Unless you have a use for two sets of rims, (street/track) wait ''till the weather gets shitty and re-work the ones you have. Use the saved money elsewhere.

Having just gotten a bike with polished frame, swingarm, and rim lips.  I''d personally prefer to have chrome.  It''s more durable with less upkeep IMO.  Got caught in the rain 2x already and had to polish for 2 hours each time.  The bling is nice, but I would rather people recognize me for my riding ability then for my pretty bike.

And the cost of chrome is rising also.

Mistake I made was doing the "shiny" thing. I love the way my brothers bike came out with black and red and nothing shiny. But its your preference. Up keep isnt bad at all except my hands arent small so trying to get into the front wheel with the rotors there sucks

Someone told me that they had a problem with powder coating. They said that after a little while the powder coating starts to crack and flake off. I am considering getting chrome or polished rims, but I also like the way TK''s rims look. IDK what is everyone elses opinion?

IMO satin black/charcoal PC is the best way to go if you want low maintainence.

chrome does the same it pits and flakes...Plus chrome doesnt have the same appeal as it did in th early 90s

This is me and my twin brothers bike''s. I love the way his turned out without any chrome and made me think about parting mine out and replacing the parts with stock parts to do the same thing. Plus mine looks like ass cause its dirty as ass on this picture. Quality isnt great cause its from my cell phone but you get the idea.

How much work is it to pull your frame and swingarm off your bike to chrome it out?
Has anyone done it themselves?
