So a good friend of mine was in a pretty bad accident yesterday on his way to school. He was just traveling through a green light when a car turned in front of him, causing him to fly off his bike and hitting another car. He was wearing a helmet which saved his life. Overall it could have been worse but he has a broken femur, wrist, tore all the skin off his knee and the bone. Bunch of deep cuts and bruises. Just wanted everyone to be extra careful out there as this could be any one of us. Keep him in you prayers and here is a picture of his bike after the wreck.

sorry to hear about your friend man.  hope he is doing well.  after reading that it kinda seems like they were blaming it on your friend even though it wasnt his fault.

oh man, wish him the best...asidari, i thought the same thing when reading the first article but the second said the guy pulled out in front of him....the car turned left in front of him...he got a ticket for failure to yield while turning left....

i have to say it...after our discussion about gear....this is yet ANOTHER reason to always wear gear...no helmet and it could have been worse...wearing some more gear...might have been less severe...

glad he''s okay...everywhere be aware...take care!

hey now, i am not saying everything is fine, but that''s a helluva lot better and a step in the right direction over "dumb bike sped up and hit a car making a turn...

at least there is SOME acknowledgment that he was at felt....believe you me, i am not defending this a-hole....but at least give partial credit to the fact they didn''t let the guy go acting like he did nothing wrong...

and ranger...every time i see that damn avatar i stare...like i am waiting for them to pop out or something...and i know they never will....haha...

Well with the other driver being at fault. He can sue.  A simple citation is all the police are gonna do, the rest of it is meant to be dealt with in court.

it seems shitty...it a misdameanor to screw up that bad.  he probably wont even lose his license.  way to teach a guy to pull his head out.

best wishes to your friend, he should get a free swing at the guy when he fells up to it.

Why go with a free swing?

Have the idiot pay for a new bike, and all the medical bills.

Hit him where it really hurts... in the wallet.

They cited him for what he did wrong, liability is settled elsewhere. WTF were they supposed to do, shoot him? If he had done it maliciously that would be a different story and a different citation. If it were two cars would you be pissed off at the ticket he got? I seriously doubt it.

Let a civil court decide the damages and go from there. If he is at fault rape the fukker.
