If your planning on installing it on an RR (either 600 or 1000) forget it. The headlamp reflectors weren''''t designed for a dual-filament bulb, they were designed for a single filament. The way the headlamp reflects the light is what makes it a low/high beam.......not the brightness of the bulb. Pull a couple feet up to a wall and you can see for yourself. The lowbeam is flat and wide. The highbeam is more concentrated into a smaller area.........even though they are using the exact same bulb.

Could you put a low beam reflector on the high beam side?

I hope there is a high beam on the market better than stock, I bought a new 06 and it has the worst lights of any of my last 3 or 4 bikes.

No doubt they are horrible. You only have 2 55 watt bulbs when the high is on, and only one of them aims higher... it sucks for sure. I did change mine over to silvania''s ultra bulbs and they do make a difference. Its nowhere near like my firends 05 R1... but is an improvement.
