Any ideas on what I can put on my exhaust that wont melt and or burn into a fire? In the picture below, I''m holding the two pieces that going onto my Jardin exhaust tip. The middle metal piece (middle in pic) is rattling against the piece of metal on exhaust end, where they screw together?

I''m no mechanic. I mean I can change oil and crud like that, but engine tear down, no, aint happening. I say this, cause I think I have seen mechanics use a blue goop put between enging parts being assembled? Must be high temp? High temp enough for exhaust? I dont know what the "steady" temp of an exhaust temp is, but I imagaine pretty hot.

I''m looking for something I can squirt or maybe gasket or something, anything thin I can put between the two metal pieces to eliminate the rattle. rattle is driving me nuts!!! I''m anal like that. lol.

yeah, helps definately, but still a little rattle. Just tried 4 small and thin washers on each bolt, seems to work for now. Maybe permanently. lol

Go to Lowes, Home Depot or wherever and get some of the Aluminum Tape that HVAC guys use to seal duct work. I use it as heat sheilding for my lower fairing on my Hurricane and it works great. Put on a layer and bolt her up. If that doesn''t do it add another layer. Its not in a squirt can but I think it can fix your problem. Good luck to ya

another good product used on car exhaust systems is copper RTV, you can buy it at any parts store and its just like regular RTV but the tube and product are copper in color. it works at very high temps and is easy to use.
