I have a 2002 cbr f4i. i can push start it and it runs like a champ. i bridged the starter relay and it fired right up. does this mean that the relay is bad for could it also be the starter celinoid? i just got this bike for 1500 with 17000mi on it. was it a good deal?

Your solenoid is bad as long as you hear a click when you try to start it with the starter button.

If you do not hear a click, could be your starter button, kickstand switch or clutch safety switch. I would lean more towards the button though.

Its really hard with a "new" used purchased. you have no idea of what the previous person did to it.

As long the bike is cosmetically decent and runs good..... thats a great deal.
