does anyone know if there is a safety switch for the clutch lever? i already know that my switch for my side stand switch is bad, so i just start my bike in neutral every time. there are times that the bike will not start when in neutral so i then need to hold the clutch lever in to get it started. i was just curious to see if this is caused from something else other than the side stand switch. thanks, ron

The Clymer wiring diagram (pg. 514 if you have the manual) does show a two-contact clutch switch. One wire goes to the starter relay (which is directly wired to the main fuse) and the other wire goes to the side stand switch. Following the wiring harness from either of those points should lead you to it. A lot of people bypass the stand switch, guess you could just as easily bypass both of them. Hope this helps.
