I''m doin the tail swap and have run into a small problem.  I have a tail light and dont know what wires on the light go to what wires on the bike.  I dont have a wire diagram to look at and the colors are different on the light from the bike.  can anyone who has done the swap tell me what wires go where.

what colors do you have on the light?   I''ve been known to plug them in at random after establishing which wire does what off the bike.  with only 9 possible ways for it, being 3 wires, I cant imagine it being incredibly hard.

on the light the colors are blk/white tracer, blk/yellow tracer, and blk.  wires on the bike are green(ground on a honda), green/yellow, brown.

ok, your black is the ground on the newer light, the other two you''ll have to play with and find out which is which. I''ve done so on a few lights with no ill effects.

That''s what I did.  Just touch them all together and use the process of elimination to determine what each does.  It will not hurt it to do so.  I bought a matching connector for the wiring harness so I could just wire it up onto the RR tail light.
