Jay''s thread had me all ready to talk about the ZR-1 lol, found this video on youtube...while watching it i thought it was pretty tight how the AWD on the GTR hooked it through the turns...then i looked and thought it was insane how the ZR-1 chews its tires around the bends and still manages to remain on top. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ-CNFpPCnk This isn''t aimed to start a war between the rice lovers and american muscle lovers. as if everyone doesn''t already know 8cylinders&a power sapping supercharger>6 cylinders and two turbos

Don''t care which is faster... seeing both cars driven in anger at the ''ring is a beautiful thing. And WAAAAY faster than I''ll ever have the cojones to drive anyways... Since I''ll never be able to afford either one, I guess I''ll just go and cry myself to sleep to the music of the opening sequence of Gran Turismo 4...

I also saw a link to the new ACR Viper vs. the ZR1 side-by-side... the Viper is one fast car! Really though, the GTR, even with the horsepower deficit, is surprisingly quick with its AWD platform. One thing I''d love to see is a shootout for the ACR, ZR1, and GT-R head-to-head-to-head with several different exercises (i.e. 0-60,0-100, 150-0, etc. ) After all is said and done, I think the GT-R just doesn''t cut the mustard compared to the other two. Fast as it may be, it just carries way to much weight to be a contender in the long run. I believe the ZR1 would be the overall victor considering it is just as fast as the Viper, a bit more forgiving, and much easier to drive on the street.

I cannot stand the way vipers sound....and if you look at the mods, the viper was mod''d along with the GTR...the ZR-1 on the other hand..completely stock. None of these comparisons end up being fair because it seems GM is the only one with the balls to go out in stock trim and set records.

That video was mesmerizing, Love how in that one straight they were just cruising at 175 like nothing was goin on. I''d like to throw out the fact that the nissan does seat more people than a vette or viper. Even though it might be a bit slower it does certainly do well for something that heavy.
