What fairings do i have to remove to get at the regulator/rectifier on a 2003 CBR 600RR?

I believe its either up underneath  the fuel tank, or on the tail somewhere. I"m not 100% which though.

well it wasn''t on the subframe so im assuming it is under the tank...

generally the older cbrs had them on the sub frame. the newer r1''s for example have them located in front of the battery under the fuel tank.

Check in front of the battery box or under the fuel tank. The reg/rec is a finned metal box about 3 1/2 bu 4 inches square by about an inch thick with two connectors,one a three wire connection (with yellow or white wires) that connects to the stator. The other either has 2 or 3 wires one red, one black and one green.   I work on so many bikes every week  and havent seen a RR in the shop except for tyres in a while so i am working from memory.
