Hey everyone,

I have found a company that may be able to supply me with headlight assemblies with clear lexan covers. I can modify these to carry the same lights that are listed in the previous project, high power projection beam lights, much better than bulbs. These would be installed with the same ram air intake. Give this a look and let me know what you think. Would people be interested in these? I cannot give a price on the set up yet, because the manufacturer has not contacted me with a price for the assemblies yet. (Check new posts for pricing!)

I personally like the clear covers. That is probably what I would buy, although the carbon fiber ones looks pretty nice, I like the lexans. They look a little cleaner to me.

Great job on all the work also, this stuff is great. Can't wait to see a finished product on a bike!

I like both, in all honesty.

---Your original design definitely sets the bar for a certain level of uniqueness.
---I also like the flush/clear look of the lexan lense...

Is there a way to unite the two; use your carbon set-up (w/ four lights) with the lexan covers? I don't know if it's even possible as I'm pretty much dumb in the head to most things fabrication.

That would be my 2cents, at any rate: Your set-up with just the covers.

I like the looks of the lexan covers. The carbon with the lexan, that would look tight too.

Looking a little closer, those headlight assemblies with the lexan on them look alot smaller than the ones you fabbed. Is it very difficult to cover your assemblies with lexan? I like the way your setup wraps around the fairing, their a little longer than the lexan ones.

You are correct they are smaller than the original, they may even be a little smaller than in the image I supplied I will just have to wait and see how they fit in the fairing. I have been able to handle them first hand and they are the business. I have thought about meshing the two assemblies but I really have to wieght the cost to benifit ratio on that. The lexan assemblies have the reflective surface on the inside and are fully finished so you can just bolt in and your done, (still have to design mounting bracket), I dont know how much I would want to modify them yet. The Mellinium carbon ram air duct will still give you a good look at the weave.

Sorry guys, I have been incredibly busy at my 8-5 job. I received the new headlight assemblies and they are excellent. The producers really came through and this will look great in any bike with a race fairing F2's, F3's, whatever. I have modifed the design and removed the standard bulb so that the assembly now accepts a 55w high power Xenon gas filled quartz bulbs. These things light of the road somthing serious. I am going to do large post with all the pics of the new assemblies this weekend. The high power projection bulbs for the first design are on thier way from Italy. They will be here next week and I will post the pics with the lights installed. The Ram Air vent is coming along but it is a totally diffrent type of structure to form so it presents new challenges. Thanks for all the interest. Also I am still selling the Carbon Gauge mounts and Yoke Protectors. I will be producing another run of these this month.

Now I will convert the bulb from a low power 35w dual element bulb to a DOT approved high power 55w Xenon gas filled bulb. Look at the diffrent between these bulbs! I also used a 9006 series harness to insure perfect fit and wiring.

The first shot is of of the stock rear set up with the stock harness, notice the mounting tabs already incorperated for easy installation. Then I cut .25'' off the rubber from the back of the assembly seal and trim excess plastic from the new Xenon bulbs. This allows me to fit the cover over the new bulbs and align them correctly in the assembly. The new bulb is now weather safe. The harness is then ready to be re-attached. Very clean and easy conversion.

Kind of difficult to see but they are a great fit and look sweet in the assemblies. Last pic really shows what these assemblies will look like when they are lit up.

These are the 55w High power projection lights from Italy. They are incredibly bright and have a incredibly distinct blue halon coating. They are spring suspended to take road shock. The first pic is the best it shows off the blue glow that the glass projects.
