intermittent headlight - 9/5/2008 4:09:01 PM    fast1000f Posts: 136 Joined: 8/9/2008 From: Winslow,Me USA Status: offline have an 87 hurricane 1000 with a headlight that comes and and goes. i suspect its a loose wire but i thought mabye someone has had this problem also? ideas, suggestions? thanks Post #: 1

Probably just a fuse is corroded or you have an intermittent earth. Clean the fuse, then try running a second earth wire, see if it helps. (in reply to BayAreaRider) Post #: 3

If it affects both, then I''d suspect the wiring between the starter switch and the dimmer switch. I took my switch apart and cleaned the contacts and have not had a problem since, just have to be careful, there is a tiny ball bearing that likes to fly out when it is taken apart. _____________________________ 87 1000 Hurricane (in reply to Shadow) Post #: 7
