Awesome, Thanks so much!!! So, when you look at it up close, does it looked scuffed at all, or does it look like a mirror finish. I have never seen one personally done, sorry for the questions.

When it was first done, it looked fabulous! Bright and shiny. However over the course of the summer, with all the riding and getting road grime, chain lube and the like on it, it has dulled a bit. I need to use some Mothers again to shine it up. I'm sure with the use of a polisher perhaps on a drill or the like, I could get it even more like a chrome finish, but that's gonna be a winter project if I decide I want to tackle it. Good luck!

there's nothing that says you can't do both 
and as to the comments to not do polishing w/out taking wheels off, i did mine with wheels on and w/out a stand ... but it's tedious and it's correct that you need to be careful to not get it on tires.
as far as difficulty to curve the stripes that can easily be solved by ordering the precurved ones off ebay (they're rather inexpensive) .. i got the reflective silver ones so it blends in during the day but reflects back at night when lights hit it ... safety first :)

wish i had known about that paint remover when i did mine..... i wet sanded the lot off.... took me three days /8 hours to finish... mind you there was some beer in there somewhere aswell ..

the lip is simple, as for doing the full rim have fun.................. i did the lip.......and wanted more so im doing the whole thing. I have 5 hours on the back rim and am under half way done. all i can say is be prepared to sand till your fingers bleed lol. and have many hours of spare time, a power drill and buffer. honda pitting is ridiculous. 80, 180, 350, 600, 800, 2000 grit paper wil also be needed for a chrome like shine.

notice the machine marks you have to rub out of the machined part.... that was enough for me, will leave the rough cast bit alone i think...
