Negative, the HID is much cooler than the halogen bulb, plus the HID only pulls on average of 35watts compared to OEM bulbs at 55watts.

IF you buy the kit very easy. I had to customize mine because I was given a set up from a BMW.

That seems to be a little bit expensive. If I remember there are other sites offering cheaper kits.
