O.K. here it is just baseline dyno''ed my little scoot on a chassis dyno 75.3hp@11,110 and 36.47 lb.ft. 10,205 rpm with an air fuel of 10.4 average one things for sure getting plenty of gas GOD what gives with that it has stock jets and filter (Ithink the filter is stock) has vance and hines slip on that''s it. It''s a 92 stock cbr 600 f2 got to put out more hp than that doesn''t it?

The black smoke would lead me to believe you were running too rich. Could be a carb problem or spark problem...or even not enough air. But ya, 76 is prolly at least 10hp off what stock should be.

for a f2 with a good amount of milage id say u should be closer to 80. need a tune up and if u like power u DEFINITLY need to ditch the stock mains and pilots, dont f#ck with kn filters they kill your midrange buy yourself some irdium plugs a new papper filter and some new jets. mines runing around 90.

got new carbs, coils, and d&d exhaust coming came off a really good running bike also have new honda racing air filter and 7 series plugs then will see what''s up with this thing. If that doesn''t work then it''s off to the work bench.Has too many miles on it to go any further.I''m going big bore.

dude if you have a good pipe you can get 90hp for less than 200$ simply by rejeting. f2 carbs have way more pontential than their jeted from the factory. said u was running rich right? reason is the when the epa did their emissions test on these bikes they were testing avereage LEGAL highway speed which is low rpm and midrage so to pass honda jeted em lean as hell in that range and compensated for it by jeting rich as hell up top. so to get max pontential outta them is to richin up the pilots (use 40s) and lean out the top (i use 124 mains) believe me the power difference is outstanding especialy in the midrange. high flow filters rob u of power if u rejet because your making more air flow so your leaning the mid which is already to lean and leaning the top which your already doing with smaller mains there for could result in overkill, although.............................no replacement for displacement

yep 135 is stock but its jeted rich in the mains to compensate for lean in the pilots....damn epa. i should have cleryfied i have jeted mine through and through so 124 are not stock but way better than those jumbo stock jets.

135 is stock what u got is stock.the set up iam suggesting is a jet kit and some new pilots.stock jeting is very insuffecent but honda had no other choice because of u.s. emissions laws at the time.

if these new set of carbs aren''t matched to pipe coming where would be a good place to get a jet kit?

ok if the new carbs have stock jets (135) then i recomend geting some dynojet jets get the stage one follow the directions carefully EXCEPT the needle jet part now depending on your elevation this can very alot but i live in florida (at sea level) and when i followed that step in the instructions (needle jet adjustment) and rode it my top was sweet cause i found my best main jet first (ended up swithching from 135 to 124) but with their needle jet position my midrage sucked ass asnd had a nasty dip in it. so i found the more i raised the clip the better it got so the end seting i had was the clip in the top position and i put 1 shim underneath each which did away with the little dip. now i also recomend #.40 pilot jets but youll have to buy those seperate dont fret though i think i payed like 6$ a piece for mine and the dynojet kit was only like 120$ so all in all the best bang for the buck on these bikes by far.

WARNING now one more thing when u start f^(kin with carb jets take your time be precise check and recheck your work try to picture how all the parts interact with each other and eventually my the seat of your pance dyno draw your conclusions about the best set up for riding style.

where can i find a dynojet for my 91cbr? It is just not running good at all. It does have a yoshimura exhaust. i just bought it and feel the problem may be that it has never been jetted

o.k. cowboy i''ll see what the new ones have in them.Maybe they''ll already be jetted for the pipe but unlikely. If not then i''ll have to wait till I get enough for a jet kit.I have a dyno with air probe so I can get the best air/fuel ratio possible versus the most horse power.I live in south G.a. every one around here wants the most horse power versus reliability.I like to ride on mine not rebuild it every month.Hell theirs three around here with turbos, nitrous, and 12 over swing arms making in the mid 250 hp range.(1000s)Just trying to make this one last until I get the money and build the motor or buy another one cause this one had a hard life before it sat up and I bought it.
