Hello all, I just traded one of my many cars for a 95 cbr600f3.  I like the bike, but not all the wiring fun and odd items that came with it.  First it is custom painted green, but looks good on this bike.  The wiring for the turn signals was all screwed up, but I pulled all the plastics and redid the wiring and cleaned it up a lot.

Besides the wiring problems that the bike has it has been running fine all day.  I took an extended highway drive though up to my parents house about 45+ minutes away and upon my return (the second 45 minute leg at 65-70mph)  The bike began to feel like it was losing power while going along.  It did so until it completely sputtered out and died.  After a minute or 2 of fooling with it I got it to start again and it would as soon as I put a load on it sputter and die.  After repeated trials with it, of dieing and restarting dieing and restarting, I finally arrived home.  Upon inspection I noticed that the fuel tank was not empty but a good bit low so I filled it up and went to drive it around for a minute, it didn''''t die on me again so I assumed it all fine, until I cruised at highway speeds for a few minutes then it did the same scenario and died.  After letting it sit for a minute then starting it up again I drove it back home, but noticed that anytime I would give it more throttle it would begin to sputter and then pull through sputtering.  I got home let it sit for about a half hour then went to drive it again.  After the sitting it drove ok and hardly sputtered at all, but would get up and go just fine if I rolled on the throttle more.

Any ideas into this anamoly would be great.  I am going to Assume fuel.

   Mods are as follows:

-Yoshimura slip-on

-"Timing advance kit"  Not for sure it has this, was told it did

-UNI Air Filter

-Some weird pull type fuel pump (I dun''''t know where it came from it is gold in color and not stock, makes a thump noise over and over quietly)

Thanks for reading if you did, sorry for being so long winded!

Edit: one more thing when I rev it while idling it it won''t go above 5k and if you hold the throttle down it will die.

Check your charging system.  I''''m was having a similar problem, it seemed like everytime I took it out for a long ride it would start to sputter. It never died on me but would have if I wasn''''t already close to home. Anyway, when I home and shut it off wouldn''''t restart.
Sat for few minutes while I was taking the seat off and fired right up, let idle 5 minutes and died wouldn''''t start. When it finally fired back up was only putting out 12.3 volts at idle and 13.0 at 5k.  Did the gsxr r/r swap after checking the stator and so far so good.
13.3 at idle 14.4 at 5k. I just did it today so it seems fixed but didn''''t have a chance to take for a good ride.

As for the fuel pump my old one was gold and original pump.  They are designed to pulse every few, thats why your hearing it thump.
Hope this helps.  Haven''''t owned or worked on bikes long but on cars for a living my whole life. Not much different.

Edit: One more thing If I checked it when it was cold it would charge just fine but as it got hotter it wouldn''t.

when you say  that after you rev above 5k and it dies it sounds like a airfilter prob.

chk to make sure your fuel tank is venting.  I bet if you open your gas cap it will start right up
