hey, thanks for taking the time to read. I am looking to make my bike faster. I have a 1998 CBR 600 f3, i am looking to make it go faster. what are something that i can do too it. I just had the 12,000 mile service done, got new brakes new tires, sprocket, and chain. i know that doesn''t help with power. but what else can i do too it?   thanks for your time!

First thing that comes to mind is make sure everything is fresh. Fresh oil, fresh plugs, clean and synced carbs ect. Next I would say K&N filter, slip-on, jet kit, ignition advancer...

speaking of ignition advancers (sorry for thread hijacking) When i got the bike in many pieces i found one in a coffee can.  By the looks of it looks like the one sold on CBRZONE.com  I believe it is the adjustable unit.  How are they beneficial to our engines?

fastest and most common way is drop the front sprocket by a certain number of teeth, it''s 15 stock, and add teeth to the back sprocket, it''s 43 stock, most common config is -1/+2
