I don''t now if this forums covered it before, but after trying to google it for an hour. I was wondering if you guys have any famous pics of old cains, with Racing teams etc. Id like to see what they looked like back in the day, with all the racing colors. Or even ads, and vintage videos Thx Guys !!! Randy

Thanks man!, So far I''ve only found a little you tube vid of Ian Simpson winning the 1988 Honda CBR 600 Challange http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrSROhc5m8s&feature=related It''s interesting to watch them skip across the pavement, on those tiny tires, and i love the sound too

I looked for some pics as well, didn''t find anything but his Duc. That was awesome to see all those Hurricane''s on the track.

yeah, but still. I love how they advertised it. oh how I miss commercials like that where they could get away with poking at other lesser bikes. the ZX600 of that era SUCKED in comparison to me. but then again, I AM biased and hate kawi products after my last one that broke constantly.

When I first saw the ads in Motorcyclist just before they came out in ''''87, I was in total awe. Then 2 friends of mine bought ''''87s, one white and one black. At the time I was riding a 650 Nighthawk. 2 years later in ''''89, I was in Waipahu, HI (military), and saw a red 1988 Hurricane at a Harley Davidson dealer ( of all places ). The rest.... as they say, is history. Paid cash and had to sell the Nighthawk privately. Man, I''''m telling you, that was the shit and no one else had a red one like that. I''''ve had that bike for almost half my life.

I bought my first Hurricane in 1987 and still have it. I still have all the dog eared cycleworld ,motorcyclist, cycle canada and any other piece of literature I could dig up on them from rumor to prototype to release... then all the comparisons and shoot outs. That was my first brand new bike. Some day I''ll run all the old mags through a scanner and post the original info we got on them. There are even articles on what to do for box stock racing and early attemps to fighter them cause the plastic was always expensive...
