If I was in the market for a new bike, yea sure. Would I upgrade just for ABS?? No! It has its advantages I am sure, but I still stand by it makes for lazy riders, n gives even more a reason not to learn to brake properly. Same goes for the slipper clutch.

ORIGINAL: Andres Dear sir TBagr please for give me about my grammar and english. You see i am a Greek i leave in Greece and my launguage is a Greek launguage which exist more than 3000 years.... and i speak very good I also speak Croation and France Really how many launguages you speak??? If I tell you that you are a big Μαλάκας or veliki dirkatz would you understand what i mean??? I guess no and it''''''''''''''''s better i think!!!!! Excellent reply. Well done. I read that ABS will be standard on CBR bikes in 2010. I would wait until then. Next year it is a dealer-installed option...and in America, where they speak only one language, dealers are big veliki dirkatzes...lol

Well, never rode ABS, but the LBS from Honda I did. On a 1100xx. I personally hated it. If the new ABS is linked in any way (I dont know if it is or not) I sure wouldn''t want it. Also, ABS on cars I dont like. Been driving a long time, got hundreds of thousands of miles under my belt and k inda have same opinion as someone ^ said, ABS is kinda for people who can''t really drive and in a panic situation just mash on the brakes as hard as they can. I''m sure if you took someone in two identical cars, same driver, closed course, braking as fast as can from same speed, ABS car would likely come out on top, but I still dont like it. I prefer to be the driver, not the car. And as I side, I commute daily 60 miles each way in some of nations worst traffic, and I still dont want no ABS. Just my 2 cents. But by all means, if you get the ABS, write up on your opinions. I am curious, I just dont want it. lol.

I will drive it and i will inform you, but as you say, i like also to have the control on the braking, not the central unit.By the way it is very easy to give the control in one pc and you do it when you feel or you think that you can not control this function(braking)So maybe the ABS is good for the new drivers and i am soor that under specific circumstances can be also good and for the most experience drivers(panic situation)

As said, I wouldnt buy a new bike just for ABS. If your not happy with your current bike and ABS suits you, then yes. but otherwise, no. I am not a fan of abs in cars either. I''ve found more problems than I have good with abs. I especially like it when one side of the car is on ice and other isnt, you hit the brakes, and the pedal still kicks back at you and you dont slow down. thats a real problem in michigan when they only salt the middle of the road. I know, doesnt really relate to motorcycles, but thats my impression of them and it would take a good ride on an abs equiped bike for me to make a real judgement, but I think I would still prefer non abs. As you said, it might be bad to get use to the abs and then go back. One thing is for sure. If you started out on a bike without abs and are accustomed to them, you will not like abs. If you start out on a bike with abs, you will not like a bike without it. does this also mean no endo''s? next up, traction control. NO wheelies and no endo''s.. I knew the bellyrubbers would win eventually....

ORIGINAL: justasquid does this also mean no endo''''s? Not sure how the Honda ABS works but BMW''s ABS system also detects rear wheel lift. I agree about electronics interfering with the riding experience but someday I wouldnt mind a very mild, racing oriented ABS just to prevent serious locks like the front washing out over low traction surfaces. From the article I read about the Honda ABS it seems to be pretty unintrusive though. Might not be too bad, I have faith in the Honda engineers.

I am agree with you But the problems is that allmost every think in our life daily depended by ECU. Even the most sensitive point of braking is now in the ECU decition and not in our capabilities. Can we trust the ECUS? By the other side if you learn to brake with abs then forget your skills on braking... Then is one way allways bike with abs....
