Hey new to the forum and new to my CBR. Have only ridden a ninja500 for about two years before moving onto this bike so I honestly don''''t know too much.

I was backing the bike up yesterday and had my pants leg get caught on the bike...long story short it tipped over. Since then my High beams work but my normal day lights don''''t. Did the drop have anything to do with it or is the bulb just bad? What should I check?

I went through the search feature and found wiring problems from moisture and what have you but I just need a little advice

it''s very possible the filament broke from the shock of dropping it but to be sure check the voltage coming from the white wire off the headlight switch...

power for the headlight comes from a blu/wht wire to the hi/lo switch on the left clipon, from that switch it has two different paths to follow depending on the position of the switch, if Lo is selected power goes to a white wire which is attached to one filament inside the light. When Hi is selected power switches off of the white wire and goes to the blue wire which I think when powered bridges the 2 filaments making the headlight brighter. If it was a grounding issue niether would light up because Hi and Lo share a common ground (green wire). Either something was jarred in the switch or the filament broke, quickest way to tell is to pull the bulb and look at it. The front one is the low beam filament and since they are linked in parallel the high beam filament would still light up if the low is blown. Hope that helps.

just get a test light and start probing. had the same issue on mine last week, hi beams work but Lo didn''t got the test light out, popped the plug, and found I have power to both my hi and low, so i bought 8000 k headlight off ebay for 25 bucks. should look sweet.
