im pretty sure the DID chain cut/rivet tool will work with almost all motorcycle chains.

here is one for $58 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chain-Rivet-Breaker-Tool-kit-riveting-cam-drive_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43996QQitemZ4615638104QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

It'll work on all chains. Usually 420 up to 630 and some have attachments to do cam chains also. DID is just the brand ... Motion Pro also makes them.

I looked on numerous sites and it says only use on 1 certian type of D.I.D. cahin links. Is that false advertisement, or am I really just reading to far into it?

i still think it would work with most rivet style master links. a DID ER 530 master link looks exactly like a RK 530 master link (if i remember correctly)

but if the DID tool only works on DID RJ links, that would suck. i would get something else.

If you wanna be able to do cam chains then get the motion pro. But I've riveted D.I.D, RK and EK chains and other than the writing on the side the master links are the same. Well that and EK chains suck!
