Does changing the air filter to a    K & N  make any difference?

What gains do you actually see? is it worth doing ?

most K&N filters on the 1000RR actually make you Lose power from what i''v read, check out 1000RR.net they are 100% racing mods over there and they have dyno charts for K&N vs I cant remember the brand but they K&N mostly lose power compared to the stock on the 1000

BMC is known for making more HP.  go with what works, so what if they cost more.  and get the race versions.

KN hurt the bike... although they are better than stock (some will say opposite)... i did feel a gain from the kn''s... HOWEVER BIGGER gain and better sound and more airflow on the dyno when i ran BMC race filters

unless you are in the desert run the RACE filters... its the difference between 2 layers of material and 4 layers... and i ran 6k miles and checked them time to time and did not need to clean them ..

they ROCK ...

new they are about 130

time to time you can find them for 80-100 used and i would JUMP On them if you could get them in that range...

in a week/2 i may have a set i have to check .. but check on ebay you can find them all the time:) on there
