Im making my exhaust like a buell (under the bike with a side exit) I have a cut down slip on and its not a problem to make it even shorter but the exit on the header needs to be around 6” further back and a new collector has to be made witch I do have the tools to do so. Im trying to do this so I lose as little ground clearance as possible. What are all your thoughts on this

Me personally, i prefer the can on the side. I don't really like the undertails of today where you only see it sticking out the back. I like to see my pipe hanging on the side. But, just as everything in this world, to each his own. If you wanna do the Buell style exhaust, do it all out. You'll have something very custom, i've never seen any Jap bikes with that style exhaust, except the new Kawasaki.
Post up some pics as ya do it
