New guy here from AZ.  Just bought a used 1000rr with 9k miles.  Love the bike so far, I used to have a 2002 r6, loved the bike and was worried that the 1k would be to heavy and not nimble but people couldn''t be more incorrect the bike loves to be leaned over and is rock solid makin me actualy feel like I''m a good rider lol.  Anyways just sayin what''s up.

big welcome to you!

i was in the Marine Corps was living down in Yuma till this past april. ever make it over that way?

watch out for the snowbirds that are gonna be flockin down there soon. they typically like to make a right hand turn from the fast lane so keep any eye out.

great places to ride are from phoenix to sedona as well up around the grand canyon. some parts of tuscon are pretty nice as well.

enjoy the bike and ride safe!

James

I actualy ride quads out @ Glamis sand dunes as well so I''ve been to yuma quite a few time, have a buddy who is a dps officer out there.

AZ has alot of great riding spots believe it or not because of the elavation changes it makes for quite a bit of twisties.

Thanks for the welcome fellas.

Welcome to the board!  Post up some pics of the new ride when you get a chance.  The 1kRR heavy?  It ain''t heavy ... throw a 180/55 on the back and it''ll be even gooder.
