Hey guys, just picked up my 2000 929rr and love it. as far as i know it only has a slip on exhaust, but the guy gave me the power commander to go with it. I rode around for a week on it or so, then decided to hook up the power commander. to make a long story short, I hooked it up and tried the ''map'' that was on it. It ran like garbage, so I got the cable, downloaded the maps / software and tried out a few maps (slip on, stage 1, and ''zero'' map). All were noticably worse than without the power commander. I''m not sure if they were uploaded correctly, or somethign else is the problem. there is also a ''ground'' wire (per the PC website) that I am unsure if is in fact supposed to be grounded, or possibly powered. The PC directions say ground, so i went ground, but looking through a few other installs some are to the power...? I then took the power commander off, and now the fuel pump won''t prime? I plug the PC II back in and it primes completely normal, yet still runs like crap. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be wrong? I had a fuel line rip (from bango bolt to fuel pump) while I was under there, i replaced it w/ FI 5/16ths line, so the only other option I''m thinking it could be would be one of the fuel lines got crimped. It''s not a great angle under that (cmon honda!) but still doesn''t explain why the fuel pump wouldn''t prime without the power commander? Any ideas guys? I''d love to be able to run the power commnader (hell i got it right?) but not if it''s going to make it run worse. Please help! -dan

Don''t know? Have you tried zeroing it (the map settings) out to run the stock map? I would personally take it to be dyno tuned by the guys that do it everyday. That is the only way to get it tuned to the most efficient setting (custom map) for each bike. Every bike is different, even if they are the same year/model.
