Besides myself, who has a bike with a drop kit? Lets see who has had any issues with their bikes, I for example have noticed that part of the shock is stricking the frame of the bike when going over serious bumps or dips, any one else??

I know a chic with a lowered R1...only thing I have ever heard about lowered bikes is you cant take corners as fast since the bike is going to scrape sooner than one that is stock height.

You''ll be surprised, Im not a pro much less an expert, but i''ve managed to lean my bike so far down that the bottom of my boots scrapes the ground. And I have yet to scrape my foot peg, so really I havent found my absolute lean angle. From what I''ve done its low enough to make through ur typical city streets safely. . .

Unless your feet don''t touch the ground at a stop light.....its not worth it.

I just had mine raised back to the original height and I feel it is a lot better now.  I find that it turns in faster than it use to.

i lowered my old f4 in da back only with a lowering link to the lowest etting and it handled like crap. so i put it in the middle and it got alittle better but still not good enough. pkus it wa harder to pull it up in 2nd. then i set it to its highest setting (which was still ower than stock and it felt amazing. it handled better than stock and it wasalmost effortless to rip it up in 2nd.
the only bike that ive ridden that i would recommend lowering a significant amount would b a 07/ 08 gsxr.

Hello everyone. New member here. I recently purchased my first sport bike, a 2001 R&B 600 F4i. So far, I''m loving it.

The guy I bought the bike from was no taller than 5'' even. He had the bike lowered 2 inches. I would like to have it raised back up. He gave me the original "link". Is this something I could do myself? I''m not very mechanically inclined but can follow simple directions. If I were to have it raised by a professional, what should I expect to pay?

the only way I could see scraping the bottom of your boots before your footpegs is if you had the arches of your feet on the pegs and not the ball of your foot like you''re supposed to.

First I lowered mine 3.5 in the rear and 2 up front but I quickly realized that that was to low. So I then raised it up to the middle setting in the rear 2.5 and now it actually handles a little better than stock that means in relation ship the rear is actually higher than the front so it makes the angle of the forks steeper which in turn makes the bike turn in a lot faster I dont have a problem with not being able to pull the bike up its still wheelies just as it did before it just bottoms out a lot easier if I come down hard, and yes in the corners I have drug my foot, peg, and the side of the lower fairing, the header I would say that is probably my absolute  lean angle  but I love the way the bike looks lowered and it still looked better set at 3.5 in the rear it just was impractical for the little redneck town I live in the roads are too rough and I would bottom out a lot.. The first is the lower fairing after my first run down Hwy 7 in Arkansas, the second is well you see, and the third is a comparison to how low it sits nest to me 6''3".....LOL..I know a 6''3" guy on a lowered F4...

Dude thats a hot ass bike, the custom blue is pimp, polished frame, turn signals, i can tell u''ve taken ur time working on it. Im 5''-8" so when I stop easily I can stand up and strech a lil. But as long as ur still comfortable riding its all gravy, plus it does get attention. In fact, yesterday I ran into a guy riding a GSX, once at the gas station he ran over and couldn''t believe how low it was. I also have a question bout ur link, can u take a pic, cuz I wanna see if ur link has 2 or 3 settings, mine is way too low and im curious to know if the next setting my fix it.....thanks
