I was wondering when you ride to campus do you leave your helmet on your bike when you go to class, or do you take it with you and walk around with it? If you leave it on your bike is there anyway to secure it? Thanks

I am no longer in college but when I was I usually always carried my helmet I dident like the idea of cliping it to the bike. especially on campus where people could mess with it. I dont know what kind of bike you have but My old bike (a green one) had a helmet clip that locked with your key. And now my 600rr has a strap that you can loop through your helmet and lock under the rear seat. just remember chicks dig guys with bikes ... so if i were you i would carry it to class on days you dont even ride.

I take the car the days I have class. Mostly cause it's night school, it's in the city, and I can't see the parking lot from my class room. As much as I'd love to be covering the road from my house, to work, to school on my bike (roughly 75 miles round trip), I know that I'd be a lot more hurt if I came out and found my baby gone.

Damn! I'm not in college so I can't vote. I still say take it with you. Who knows what some ass might do to it while it’s hanging on your bike. Plus I wouldn't want my helmet to bake out in the sun if I have park my bike out side during the day. The only time we lock our helmets to our bikes is when we go into a restaurant and we are close by.

No helmet of any quality should be left on a bike. It will get stolen.

the MC parking spot is pretty safe at my college, there's a security booth just infront, but I still take it with me as I don't trust people who can accidently bump it

In Illinois there isnt a helmet law, just need to wear some sort of eye protection. I`ll admit that I dont wear my helmet as much as I should but when I do ride to class with it I ALLWAYS take it with me. Too many stupid frat guys would think its cool to steal something that could save someones life.

I always lock it on the side and cover the bike with a light weight cover.
Never had any problems.

I carry mine with me... I have to park in a .... let's say wrong side of the tracks area for my school parking lot. I also park in an un-used bicycle rack and chain my bike up.

lock it to the bike, never had any problems. I know there are some thieves out there but i dont see them being stupid enough to cut a strap and have a useless helmet.
