have you seen any physical difference between the 2 when you had them out?

you might try submersing the new cct in a cup of oil, and pump it a few times to prime it.  i wonder if its a oil pressure/flow problem.  with it off, you could use a socket extension to manualy tension the chain.  crank the engine with ignition off, and it should squirt oil pretty good.

saw no phsical difference between the 2 when they were out.  one is cleaner, thats about it lol!  why would the noise go away when I our mystery oil in the carbs as it was running?
