Please, can owners tell me something about tis motorcycle. Some good or bad things to deside is this motorcycle good enough to own. I read a lot of articles about it , but i want to hear opinion from poeple who have it and who can tell all truth about honda 929. And if you could. Can compare this bike to 919. Is this a good choise, or would you advise to look for some other model?

5th bike over 13 years... ABSOLUTELY my favorite bike.  Even over the R1 and GSXR 1100 I''ve owned.

It can be finicky for sure, but I can''t imagine loving another bike like this one.

My 2 pennies.

I like my current bike better but there are things I miss about the 929.  If I had a more restrictive budget I would have gone for another 929 but went with the 1000RR more for style and it just feels more stable.  Probably because of the HESD, that 929 had a bit of headshake when riding hard.

I''ve ridden alot of bikes and for a bigger guy I don''t think I''ll ever own anything other than a 929 or 954. I like KNOWING I''m sitting on a bike. I love it

owned 2 of them would deffinetly get another. good power , torque in the right places. good looks. needs a damper and a good set of tires and she will go forever. watch for oil leaks from the stator cover

I love mine, everything I''ve thrown at it it has handled perfectly. I''ve taken it to the drag strip, race tracks, twisties, trips, and commuted with it. Never had a single issue. The only thing I would recommend is a steering damper. The 929''s and 954''s are notorious for head shake.

Great bike.  Lots of my friends who have newer bikes like how beefy the 929 is.  I''m a big guy myself, so I second Seldon929rr''s comment.  As for headshake, I''ve read alot about it, but never experienced it.  I do hit the canyons, but maybe not hard enough to get headshake.  I put a Scotts Dampner on just in case and did feel a bit more stability.  It''s cool to have a nice looking bike that doesn''t look like everyone else''s.  Oh, nobody has a trunk now-a-days like the 929.  I''ve check out the bike shops to see what''s new and there''s nothing I''d like to get over my 929....

I got tankslappers a couple times and a friend gave me his ohlins damper off his old 929. It made a huge difference. As for the trunk you could carry around a extra bike in that thing. I have actually fit 5 dvds, a cane and a hat in mine.

Thank you all for your opinions. I like this bike too, and i hear a lot of good things about it, bus i heard all so bad things, such as : hard to find spare parts.. specialy im my country :) big dificulties with repairing. Comparing with oter bikes like r1 gsx 1000 .. this honda has week engine, and has no agressive in driving. What can you say about this?? :)

And other question. Can some one compare it to older version of this bike (919) ?? Is there big diference between theM?

wanna read my two cents? her they are: 929 its a great bike if you treat her well she will return the favor with lots and lots of miles of fun without even check for oil level. one thing (at least on mine) the 929 has is that they suffer from alternator issues, but she''s a really great honey (bike) and i will love her for the rest of my life. attention, there is a mod that you really must do as soon as you get her even if she''s stock or not: get a pc III, do the flapper mod and remove the mid pipe valve thing (dont remember the name something like htv something) do this mods as soon as you get her and you will have one hell of a bike for sure, really, awesome bike.

i think the 929 is one of the smoothest bikes ive riden, handles great in the turns but that also depends on your rubber. i would never ride a bike again with out a damper.  only thing i feel is it could have more grunt down low.  but i went +4 to help for that...if you like powerwheelies its a good bike for that

The pre-load on the suspension front and rear is a bit soft for bigger guys. (220lbs here)  Tough to get it set up nice and firm.  Like everyone else said, a damper is a good help.  The stators seem to go out on these.  Replaced mine twice...  Let''s see...  Normal electrical gremlins. Blinkers will go out randomly, headlights.  But they seem pretty easy to fix. Oil issues have never really been a problem with my bike.  Ooh, and you will go through tires pretty quickly lol.  At least I do. Must be something with that engine...

For the price you can pick one up at, I couldn''t imagine a different bike.  Unless you save up a bit more and get a 954.

If somebody offered to trade their cherry R1 for my clapped out 929... I''d pass. =)
