Do you remember the exact moment when you knew you were going over the line ...?? ( your ability as you put it ) the moment as you feel everything going to shit and in that split second, you suffer what seems to be an " hour of compressed panic " crossed with a huge cold adrenalin rush ...knowing that you''''''''ve bloody done it yet again !!!!..... Its dam chilling even to think about those moments for me ... and I have quite a few stashed away inside my head mate Those moments freeze into your head for ever I recon .... Once you gather a handful of different experiences and log the feeling of each into your head , its like to have a auto warning system build in each time you get near those situations the next time... You feel those memories coming back and I think they do keep you from crossing that line without a dam good reason ever again.... ok , it took me a few times to remember them well enough

ORIGINAL: jfunkRR I have had many, many injuries in my life, and many hospital visits...but none from riding a street bike. I dismounted once this summer, jumped off it after my boy slammed into me doing about 40 when I was making a right turn, I let go and landed on my feet and he had a broken hip in two places... I have been stabbed (stitches), broken my right hand (that was painful), broken my right arm/elbow (surgery required), had my head split open 2 or 3 times...now I try to not hurt myself. Geezus mate ... yer I think yu should take it easy for a few years ... you keep doing that you are gunna wind up ??? hmmm??? ... just take it slow hey I HAVE been taking it easy for a few years, I''m too old to get injured anymore, takes twice as long and more pain to heal now...most of those were from crazy college nights with alcohol muscles...plus I''ve been known to never back down, a challenge is a challenge, especially when your a stupid college kid on a 2 year drinking binge. Those days are way behind me... I have never been injured in a bike wreck. Thanks for that...

This isn''t really an injury - just a cautionary picture, I''m not proud, but I want to show this so people know to wear their gear. this was when I was on my permit, just bought this bike, things were going great, It actually happened on my birthday, woke up from a great night of drinking, went to my buddies to pick up my phone I forgot there the night before, couple guys wanted to see what the bike had, and I showed them all right, didn''t look where I was going and panic''d a little too much trying to slow down and lowsided, bike ended up in the grass, me on the street, I roughly remembering my left hand hit the gound and slide on it''s ohhh so smooth surface, and watched my oakleys slide away from me... road rash on mainly my left foream, elbow and palm, left knee and such... I could not hold my left hand down becuase the blood rushing to it would hurt, so for a week I was holding it up watching TV... Things change on a bike faster than most people think - always ride within your limits and only gently push them over time. I had to look at my bike - all scratched and beaten everytime I got on it, It made riding a little less fun. Nothing looks better then a clean - unscratched bike Ride safe everyone
