Is it just me, or are any of you getting the occasional error message ?  Seems to be random, no specific words I can pick up. IRRITATING !!!

Happened to me once today. Ever since the problems this board had a couple of months ago, I generally copy my posts, especially the longer ones, before clicking OK.

I do get some errors, I now have a habbit of copy my text before posting.
I did a post before of what a nice guy you were Shadow1, but the system deleted it, a bit sad.

Pete , sweetheart

For the millionth time kidies
They are caused by apostrophes in the subject lines within the reply post window ...

back space them out or near out ant you will not get errors .........

haven''''t you got a bone somewhere to chew on Pete ???

I am outta here to work now ..so you will have to chew me up later on mate

Mate
I have had about 200 of those errors ... (I even offered to trouble shoot the script for admin...)

It took me a while looking for a common denominator , but I finally spotted the newly created apostrophes in the subject lines of the reply windows ... believe me ..it is causing 99% of the errors...
They only occur if the character limit for the subject line hit its maximum and that seems to happen at random ? only in some posts and only in some windows ?? spooky but true my friend..

Try editing your post reply here ...but before  you do ..
fill the subject line of the edit window to the max with '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ....... see what error you get when you hit save  .... it must be filled to the max though ..ok..

I already had one error replying to this just now ... I back space the window subject and whalar!!! no error when saving the second time ..
( notice the subject lines on your post reply above this reply )

I do not mean the ones that appear within the body of the posts either ..they seem to have no effect except that they look weird...

Yer I know there was apparently a few words setting off errors , but I have not had any of those occur as yet after 700 posts...

Just the subject lines !!

MarkR, if the system knows the truth about me, maybe I''m not a nice guy after all.
Bhasoba Imatshi, Mfowethu ! (Beware the Judge, brother - Zulu)

I don''t think old Dingo Bones has it fully right - but there may be SOME truth in what he says
(DAHLING) He''s had 200 errors ''coz he posts so much ........

On the ORIGINAL  errors you could preview, and if it came up OK, you were fine - not so with this one, and if you try to repost, you can''t (at least I can''t)

"SOME truth" ?? .... huuuuu!!

Mate ..old dingo bones has more script experience than you have had hot dinners ....

Trust me ..if you can focus for just 3 minutes uninterrupted ..... ?? hmmm
it is one of the major causes ... ! and if you can focus for just a few minutes when posting replies .... you can avoid the errors ...
