Is anyone running a purolator oil filter on their f4i?  Is so what model# filter are you using?  I have found 2 that work, one is shorther than the other.  I am noticing some ticking noises coming from the oil filter area, I only notice the oise when fully warmed up and approaching a stop or when stopped.   I am running the longer of the 2 filters and wonder if this is causing the noise.  Any input would be apprciated.  Thanks, Mark

I think there are 2 filters from just about every filter maker that fits the F4i.  One is short and one is long.  I have run the short Honda filter purchased from my local dealer but I now run the long Mobil 1 filter.  Part numbers for the 2 Mobil filters that fit are M1 108 short and M1 110 long.  Don''t have any personal experience with Purolater filters.

I use the PL14610 (long one).  The short one is the PL14612.  Had no issues really with the longer one.

Definitely use the long one over the short just because more oil capacity and it will help your engine a lot better. my 2 cents.
