Alright, I am really craving an Imo''s pizza right now.  For those of you who don''t know, that is a St. Louis specialty along with toasted ravioli.  I moved to california 5 years ago, and have only gone back a couple times.  The times i have been back, I have ordered Imo''s and gone to dinner with my Dad at "The Hill," the italian section of St. Louis.

I am really craving that pizza and cannot have it.  My question is what do you miss from where you are from.  Or if you never moved anywhere what would you miss?  every city/town has something that you can''t take with you, but would if you could.

Mountains from Colorado. Born and raised there...moved to South Dakota two years ago. And anyone who knows SD knows its generally flat as a pancake. With the exception of the black hills.

I miss:  BBQ from Plano Texas
Cheesesteaks from D''Atris from my hometown (LaVale/Frostburg MD)
California Rolls from Towson Best in Towson MD

I miss orange skin from the pollution of Gary Indiana, and the random gun violence from East St. Louis (okay, I don''t really miss those things, but they did keep life interesting)

I miss a lot of things in San Diego County, but Swami''s Cafe in Encinitas was, and still is, super. Good, healthy food, breakfast anytime (woot!), and across the street from the Pacific Ocean.

I miss my backyard from my previous house, it overlooked a rainforest.

Lots of Native birds that only lived in that environment, like this little guy.

Born in W.V. and miss it so much, but dont think I''ll ever be going back to live.  I go there every now and then and hunt/fish with uncles or just hang out with them (best family ever).  I miss the friendliness of the place.  My uncle can ride through town and wave to at least half the people cuz he knows them all.  It''s a simple life there, not so fast paced.  People havent forgeten how important family, friends, and strangers that can be friends are.  Nor have they forgotten how to sit back and enjoy life in the slow lane.  Just sitting on the porch, hanging out with friends and fam at bbq''s, drinkin beers to a peaceful day and beautiful sunset. Here in NC there''s always something taking up my time.  I dont even feel like my house is my home, I have no attachment to it aside from my roof (best thinking spot in the world as far as urbanized goes) and my bed.  When I say home it means W.V.
