ORIGINAL: Hcstreetriding it serves no purpose except looks, we unfortunately have a kid that rides with us with almost the same exact bike and if he even thinks about the throttle it will break loose. yea its stupid. Not to be picky... and....no doubt it should not be on the road .. but... actually it looks like a "purpose built" drag bike rear end mate... all be it with squids aboard Those extended rear ends are to help keep the front down and on the track , so they do have a purpose .. classic i agree with you, the longer swing arm is to keep the front end down..... however, that only works to a certain extent. When you extend it beyond a certain point you loose traction exponentially. I think the kid that has the gsxr 750 like that that rides with us has a shorter swing arm, and it wont bite at all, none. It is just way too long and completely defeats the purpose because the front end cant even come up if all you do is spin the rear tire all over the place. even when he has a passenger he cant get enough traction to out run a 250, its funny cuz we rip on him so bad and he refuses to change it. so i have to say its all for looks or cuz they dont understand physics. either or.

I think the haters are just mad cuz they are not toting around some squish like this guy is....must be doing something right.

No probs mate.. My point was not to how effective that particular bike would be as a drag bike and I understand what you describe as its flaws, .... but that everyone seems to be commenting on how dumb it seems as just a bike... if yu get my drift ...

And I was serious Harleys can handle better that that thing can. But yes as long as the owner likes it is all that matters. And I am approaching 10k for this year thus far, so I am doing more than just hating on stupid mods n not riding.
