a lot of people have the nuts to say something behind the security of a keyboard and computer screen, but not enough to say it in person.

get serious.....are you implying that there are internet tough guys?

I do not think that is exactly where he was going with that mate

(Tough from behind a keyboard when in real life they are dickwads)

X, you''ve pushed my buttons a few times, but I''ve never been mad at you
I actually respect you for bein who you are, my mom gets on a lot of peoples bad sides cuz she''s just a old fashioned, non compromising, no shit taking, etc etc woman.
Plus you have two teenagers (if I remember correctly, both boys, even better), people can expect you to be tired of dumb stuff, lol

I feel that this "mate" calling is a personal attack and I will not stand for it.

On a side note, this thread is still pissing me off.

I agree with the above posts that people online are the same as people in cars; they are insulated from their actions. Also, they don''t feel any connection to the person they are interacting with. You can''t see the face of the person you''re communicating with. If they are hurt or angry, you can''t tell. Then, if you write something insensitive, they may react poorly. It wouldn'' happen face to face because there would be other cues to let you know to lighten up.

Also, bluntness isn''t always an attribute. Compassion and understanding and tolerance go a long way in making the world a better place. Telling someone that they''re ugly may be true, but it isn''t necessary and it isn''t kind.

Its all to easy to misinterpret wot is said on the net & take offense. No facial expression or body language to interpret, people from different part of the world/language & the ability to express yourself using a keyboard & lets face it, wot sort of stick life gives you day to day.
I''ve had the odd occasion to be a mite peeved over a post, but I''m thick skinned enough to cope with it (I have been married 3 times after all).

Yeah. I got worried about dwschultzy tonight and had to send him a text message to make sure he is still alive since nobody''s heard from the guy in months. Sure enough, he''s still alive and talking more sh1t then ever.

Sorry for bringing him back from the dead everyone.
