on the internet? I poke a lot of fun at people, and point out what I consider unsafe or crappy behavior but I have never posted here while angry. I just witnessed an episode at another site that was all too familiar and I have to wonder why? It seems that hatred is a roller coaster and once the profanity and mud slinging/threats start is just rolls on out of control.

I can understand if alcohol is involved, or the person doing the hating/ranting is just a d1ck to begin with but sometimes seemingly normal board members just erupt and never do come back to reality.

Sad really but *shrugs* ... It is what it is.

I think a lot of times it is easier for people to write nasty-grams and angry things online than it is for them to say it aloud. I am not sure why. It is for the same reason people''s attitude changes when they hop in a car.

are you implying people take things on the interwebs serious?

do they actually get upset and fling crap back and forth at eachother?

lol i actually like what you have to say most of time X, and did not have any problem with what you said in a recent thread that other people started going on and on(who know who you are) about stupid stuff and that kinda made me explode with hate cuz it was a complete thread jack and nonsense wasting my valuable cbrf time, but other than that i usually stay calm on here(the computer) and dont really understand why people get on here just to start fights and tend to stay out of them, cuz after all, its the internet lol

so +1 to your whole post

mos def easier to write something nasty. i mean it''s the internet so i doubt someone will show up at your door ready to fight. it is pretty silly to get mad though. exchange words is one thing but actually mad.....come on!

I have 13 years total experience online so far and I will give you my opinion regards people behaving in what seems, not normal manner on the net..
The net is a lesson in text communication skills ... and most people cannot communicate in real life let alone in text.. it is a learn''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t skill..

In real life we get to pick in most cases who we talk to and hang out with.
On the net , you will not by your choice meet thousands of people that you probably would not even talk to in real life......this create issues because you are face to face with people that you would never normally deal with..

In real life people are a bit to scared to say exactly what they mean most of the time.
On the net , people feel safe and insulated from being attacked in return so they will tend to fly off the handle..

In real life some people feel insecure about themselves and most will not have the personallity to talk roughly back to someone without thinking hard first..
On the net , people like those above , will feel that no one can touch them , so they take out their frustrations without fear or needing any guts to stand and fight like in the real world.

In real life people tend to be grouped into personallity types..that have been designed by our systems ..we expect a certain type of behavior from most on the whole..
On the net ,I think that we has created a whole new group of personality types.
People that would never be nasty before ...do now .. online.
People who you would never expect to say things .... do now.. online.

I do think though a positive has come from all this change, because the net has exposed some of the more creepy people out in this world .. before the net they would have been way to gutless or lame to open their mouths.. but they now do and we can spot the barsteds!!!

What you are feeling is quite normal mate .... people will and have always adapted to their environment ....the net is just another change for all of us to adapt to....some take a little longer to get the idea about behaving in a positive manner but they too will hopefully learn over time ..

I am sorry to anyone that hates my long explanations..
But.....I do like text as a medium to express my views

but uh X....a lot of people have the nuts to say something behind the security of a keyboard and computer screen, but not enough to say it in person.

That''s true, I''m the same here as I am in person. I still call them as I see them.
